Maurizio Sarri: nothing I can do to keep Eden Hazard at Chelsea

Chelsea's "Sarriball" possession-based style has often frustrated Blues fans this term, but Hazard believes the Stamford Bridge men have nearly fully grasped their head coach's methods. "It's really very hard to change Hazard with another player".

Hazard has made no secret of his desire to play for Real Madrid, who continue to be linked with the Belgian.

The mesmerizing move before Hazard's 24th minute-goal was far from a flash of brilliance against West Ham.

Hazard shone with both goals in Chelsea's 2-0 win over West Ham on Monday to send them third in the Premier League, hours after it was reported by Sky Sports News that Real Madrid were increasingly confident of signing him in the summer.

The Hammers trekked across London having not won a Premier League away game in 2019, and that unwanted record remains intact, after they were taken apart from a masterful performance from Eden Hazard.

Taking possession of the ball 35 metres from goal with a blanket of West Ham players blocking his path to goal, Hazard first accelerated into the area past Declan Rice and Mark Noble.

With trips to Liverpool and Manchester United to come in Chelsea's last five league games, much will depend on Hazard with Gonzalo Higuain showing little sign of hitting form. From the technical point of view, no [cannot afford to lose Hazard], not at the moment. "We are trying to become one of the best teams in England and, as a outcome, in Europe - but I think I have to respect his decision".

In case that is happening, Hazard will look to end his relationship with the Londoners on a good note, by finishing well with them this season.

"But I nearly feel like Hazard has to play for a Real Madrid or a Barcelona".

"But we will try of course in any way to convince him". I can not do anything I think.

"So I think the season is good". That's what the squad are hoping for so that we can add players next season, and to finish the season well and make people happy.

"I think that we played really very good today against a unsafe opponent". I wanted to shoot quickly.
