Valve Index is the company's entrance into the VR HMD market

The first look at the Valve Index VR headset

The teaser site has an image of the headset, with the name Valve Index prominently featured.

Valve Corporation's long-rumored VR headset is finally real.

Since Valve's official page includes so little information, we're left picking at the single image to figure anything out.

The only text in the teaser reads "Upgrade your experience" and "May 2019", so presumably that's when the Index will go on sale, given that the word "sale" is in the URL. This page also doesn't mention a series of three Valve-produced VR games that have been repeatedly advertised by Valve co-founder Gabe Newell since 2017. UploadVR managed to grab a few leaked images of the prototype back in November, adding that the Field of View (FoV) will be 135 degrees and the resolution will be similar to the HTC Vive Pro (1440×1600 resolution per eye, then).

Scarborough Praises Media for Mueller Coverage -- 'Did a Pretty Damn Good Job'
Barr also said Mueller's report described "multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign". The top House Democrats wrote in a letter to Barr that his summary of the Mueller report "is not sufficient for Congress".

Now they will try their hand at developing and producing their own virtual reality headset, called the Valve Index. These two cameras also suggest that the Index will use inside-out tracking rather than external sensors or base stations that track players' movements around the room.

Now, Valve appears to be building a headset too.

Now it's confirmed, and we just have to wait and see what it actually is.
