Google releases first Android Q beta for Pixel phones

Android Q makes sharing your WiFi password with friends super easy

While initial predictions on the matter didn't pan out, it still didn't take long for Google to debut the first developer preview of Android Q after media reports suggesting the launch is imminent began emerging on Monday. There's also a version of Android Q for use with Google's Android Emulator, allowing developers without a physical device to get started coding for the new OS as well.

On Wednesday, Pixel users got first dibs on Android Q Beta 1, the next version of Google's mobile operating system.

How to install the Android Q beta? With Android Q, the Mountain View-based tech giant has made even more enhancements to protect users, and numerous upgrades are to Google's Project Strobe.

Furthermore, it will also come with support for Foldables and innovative new screens to take advantage of foldable devices and other large screen devices. Lastly, one major change will be total support for foldable phones, which Google first promised us this past November. Things had changed with Android Pie (P, at the time) because new devices can access it (Sony Xperia XZ2, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Nokia 7 Plus, Oppo R15 Pro, Vivo X21, OnePlus 6, and Essential PH-1). Currently, Google is offering Android Q to all Pixel phones. Further, the user will not receive separate monthly security updates while on a beta build. George Foreman's Daughter Is Found Dead
According to TMZ , "Her parents also didn't enjoy her being in the ring ... so George reportedly paid her to quit". That year she won her first five fights, three by knockout, and lost her sixth in 2001.

Google has also provided users with options to control an apps' access to photos, videos or audio collections via new runtime permissions. It is also introducing Sharing shortcuts which will allow users to directly share content with users inside apps.

Camera apps are also getting a new dynamic depth format in Android Q, which will let developers offer various ways of blurring photos and creating bokeh effects on supported devices.

If you are on Android Q, you can find out how to enable the new desktop mode here. We're particularly interested in the compatibility tweaks Google has added to make Q work with folding phones. SlashGear will be there to bring back all the details of the Android Q updates likely to arrive ahead of the OS' full release, which - if previous timelines hold true this year - we're expecting to be released in Q3 2019.

Google is finally revamping the Share menu in Android Q and making it notably faster.
