Kate Middleton stuns in pink Gucci dress at fancy gala

Prince William and Kate Middleton

The Duchess of Cambridge looked just as stunning as ever in the short-sleeve full-length flowing gown for the event held at the Victoria & Albert Museum. She then attended the 100 Women in Finance's gala dinner in support of her efforts to bring awareness to mental health in schools.

Catherine, who was not joined by her husband Prince William, oozed glamour in the off-the-shoulder gown which featured a striking black belt around the centre which contrasted with the soft shades of the dress' light, flowing fabric.

Kate teamed the jewels with a gorgeous white Alexander McQueen dress with a floral motif. Princess Diana only moved into Buckingham Palace after her engagement to Prince Charles was announced and at the time they still lived in entirely separate suites in the palace.

It's been a busy day for the Duchess, who earlier attended a conference on mental health where she spoke candidly about her personal experiences as a mother.

While members of the public whooped and cheered as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived outside the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London, the noise quickly fell to silence as the couple entered the auditorium.

"They have taught me over and over again that the root cause of so many of today's social problems can be traced right back to the very earliest years of a person's life and often over generations".

She also took the stage during the conference to speak about the importance of mental health education and training.
