Joel Embiid Heated After Celtics Loss: "The Referees F*cking Suck"

Avery Bradley

Playing without All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, who sprained his right knee Saturday night, the Celtics beat the Sixers for the third straight meeting this season after defeating them in five games in the Eastern Conference semifinals last season. Irving suffered the injury in the Celtics' devastating loss to the Clippers on Saturday. The Clippers outscored the Celtics 75-44 after Irving left, coming back from 28 points down to win 123-112.

The Celtics blew a 28 point lead against the Clippers the other night and now sit in 5th place in the Eastern conference.

The Celtics blew an 18-point lead against the Los Angeles Lakers two nights earlier.

For what it's worth, head coach Brad Stevens shouldered the brunt of the blame for the team's poor play. I want to learn as much as I can about the group that we have and all these things with Jonathon [Simmons] and Boban and Jonah, etc., etc.is all on the table for me to do that.

"His knee buckled a little bit in the second quarter, and so that's all I know", he said. It's not fun. We're not competing at a high level. "I felt like our backs were against the wall, so we all needed to come out and set the tone and we did that".

Ariana Grande Clarifies Tweets About Cardi B's 'Best Rap Album' Win
Many fans took this to be about Cardi B personally, and you'd be forgiven for thinking so, too - but that's not the case. She went onto thank daughter Kulture and touched on her fears surrounding giving birth shortly after dropping the album.

"That was fun, fun", Morris said after the game.

Morris added that he still thinks the Celtics can make the necessary changes to become a championship-caliber team. It's just not fun, it's not fun.

Morris said there are no more excuses with the trade deadline behind them. That has to be the first goal.

Garrett Temple, Ivica Zubac, JaMychal Green and Landry Shamet all made their debuts for the Clippers after being acquired by Los Angeles at the trade deadline. That's a win, I guess. If you want to take me out of the lineup and get some juice in it, I'm with it.

"We've got a whole new team". We're going to have to play with the same kind of objective. End of the day, man, it's unacceptable what we did tonight.
