Apple to announce a new subscription-focused service on March 25th

Apple's Holding a Surprise Event on March 25, Here's What to Expect

Among the products that are expected to be released by Apple Inc. this year are the Apple AirPods 2 and the new Air Power wireless charger.

Publishers are threatening to revolt against Apple's planned subscription news service before it has even got off the ground in anger at the proposed financial terms stipulated by the technology firm.

Amazon Prime Video and Hulu are both services with a similar offering, letting subscribers customize their package by adding additional premium channels to the video catalog each offers.

The event will be "subscription services focused", however, it's unclear if it will also include details on the upcoming TV news service that Apple has in the works.

Apple doesn't typically hold more than one spring media event, though it could this year.

O'Rourke says there's 'nothing to be afraid of'
Instead, Democrats' push for new restrictions on immigrant detentions has led to the stalemate. And like Trump, O'Rourke used Twitter to spark attention about issues that matter to him.

"While the exact disagreement between Apple and HBO isn't known", the report reads, "media companies have been concerned about data sharing and revenue splits as Apple tries to aggregate existing services in new ways".

According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, Apple has pitched to publishers that it plans to keep half of the revenue generation by the subscription service, whereas the remaining half will be distributed among the publishers based on the time users engaged with their articles. The New York Times and Washington Post are two of the big names objecting to Apple's terms. The good news is there are reports that Apple plans to offer the content for free to Apple device owners. But apparently, this will not be the case, and instead of a hardware piece, the company will be introducing a new service.

"Sources described the event as subscription services focused, but declined to say anything about Apple's standalone video streaming service which is also rumored to debut in 2019".

"With much pushback from publishers Apple is realizing this news service bundle will have its share of hurdles to find success with consumers as well as content partners".
