Facebook Messenger Launches an ‘Unsend’ Feature

In the long-awaited answer to many Messenger users" prayers, Facebook announced today that it is launching an "unsend' feature.

Facebook owns the mobile messenger application used by more than a billion people.

Last year, TechCrunch reported that Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg sent people messages that no longer appear in their Facebook chat logs or in the files available from Facebook's Download Your Information tool.

Deleting messages is easy: Tap on the message you want to remove and select the option, "Remove for Everyone". That new feature as now arrived in Facebook Messenger for iOS and Android. You'll have to act fast to remove accidental messages, though - and don't think that you'll be able to completely hide your tracks. The company said that the Facebook Research VPN app didn't even extract data that most cookies do.
