Clippers agree to trade Harris to 76ers, report says

Tobias Harris

The Philadelphia 76ers have made another move in their quest to become National Basketball Association champions by trading for Los Angeles Clippers' star Tobias Harris.

The Clippers will also send fan favorite big man Boban Marjanovic and reserve forward Mike Scott to the loaded Sixers.

The LA Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers agreed on a blockbuster deal that sends forward Tobias Harris to partner with the Sixers' Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Jimmy Butler to pursue an Eastern Conference title, league sources told ESPN.

The Clippers re-stocked the roster with pieces for the future. For the Clippers, this deal not only gives them valuable picks and potential trade assets, but allows them to commit to clearing cap space for two max-level players.

Harris, 26, is having a breakout season with the Clippers and is now averaging 20.7 points per game while shooting 42 percent from 3-point range.

Nissan's second thoughts on UK-made SUV add to Brexit worry
Last month, Jaguar Land Rover said it would axe 4,500 jobs, with many of them management roles in the UK. Nissan employs nearly 7,000 people at the plant, which has produced cars since 1986.

Sixers general manager Elton Brand traded for Butler, a four-time All-Star, earlier this season, and showed again he is not afraid to make a bold move for the win-now franchise.

He's a flawless fit for the Sixers' starting lineup, and along with Ben Simmons, J.J. Redick, Jimmy Butler and Joel Embiid, the Sixers now have arguably the most talented group in the Eastern Conference.

Rookies Landry Shamet and Wilson Chandler and center Mike Muscala are headed to LA.

Butler also hasn't always looked comfortable in his role on the Sixers, and adding another high-volume scorer into the mix might only further frustrate him if they don't at least reach the conference finals.
