Ariana Grande not Performing at or Attending the Grammys after Disagreement

For the most part Grande has taken the controversy in stride using humor on social media to deal with her online critics

Ariana Grande is reportedly pulling the plug on her performance due to a disagreement with the event's producers.

Sources said Grande may not even attend the ceremony after she felt "insulted" by producers, who initially refused to allow her to perform her new single "7 Rings" from the upcoming album Thank U, Next.

With album Thank U, Next set to drop just two days after the show, a performance in front of millions could have been a nice way to advertise her new music.

In response to a tweet of ours, Ariana Grande shut down the rumors and confirmed that she will not perform at the 61st GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, February 10, 2019: "that rumor is false ".

The 26-year-old singer has chose to pull out of the awards show after she had a disagreement with the producers, a source tells Variety.

The women nominees this year are Gaga, Grande, Cardi B, and Camila Cabello.

Variety says they instead, 'offered her a spot during the show's Tom Petty tribute'.

The pop star has been nominated for two awards at the Grammys.

During an interview with Billboard a year ago, Ariana made it very clear that she is not a pushover in the industry.

As Billboard pointed out in a separate article, the album's success was "a rare new peak for a late-'10s pop star" and was especially significant "because not many of her pop star peers are doing so alongside her".
