Huawei’s 5G foldable phone is coming, here's when

Samsung earnings reveal sharp drop in profit for the end of 2018

Manufacturing lines for tech giant Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S10 in Korea, as well as overseas, have started running at full throttle since last week, churning out what will mark the 10th anniversary of the tech giant's entry into the Android smartphone market, according to sources on January 30.

If true, this will make it the most expensive Samsung Galaxy phone to date.

Samsung's next smartphone launch event is coming up in a few weeks, so it's prime leak season for the devices that Samsung is planning to launch.

The company is hard at work on its own tech, too, having just unveiled a brand new 20MP smartphone image sensor - which is also the world's smallest, measuring just 5.1mm (1/3.4 inches). This foldable device has been in the leaks from nearly a year now.

Apple says sales fell in the first quarter
Those fears intensified after the firm said it would stop reporting the number of iPhones, iPads and Macs it sold each quarter. It blamed China's economy and its discounted iPhone battery replacement program for the lack of smartphone upgrades in 2019.

It seems like Chinese smartphone maker Huawei may overtake Samsung in launching the foldable smartphone.

The Samsung foldable smartphone or Samsung Galaxy Fold is expected to be made official next month. Samsung first teased its foldable smartphone at the company's developer conference in November past year.

The picture also reveals a dual-lens camera which is punched through the screen with Samsung clearly wanting to avoid including an Apple-style notch. 2019 is looking to be the year of the foldable phones and Huawei will indeed be one of the early birds to unveil a commercial model. One possible explanation is that the Galaxy Fit e will have eSIM support, though we have nothing to back up that conjecture. Evidently, the screen protector will cover the phone's side edges, and it could come pre-installed. We can also see that the S10E only has two rear cameras, whereas the S10 and S10+ both have three rear cameras.
