Driver who crashed while blindfolded was participating in ‘Bird Box Challenge’

She then skidded into the other lanes and hit another vehicle, a light pole and a sound wall. Police say the young woman in question had pulled her hat over her eyes while she was driving, which resulted in the crash.

Police in Layton, Utah, say a 17-year-old girl was driving blindfolded when she lost control and crashed into another vehicle.

The 17 year-old female driver wasn't injured in the accident, according to a tweet from the Layton, Utah Police Department.

The 17-year-old girl was said to have had a 16-year-old male passenger in the truck with her.

The Bird Box challenge, based off of Netflix's latest horror movie where citizens must stay blindfolded to stay alive, had a predictable result. There were no serious injuries in the crash. They reportedly called out the Bird Box Challenge specifically.
