Bayern confirm Pavard deal

Benjamin Pavard scored a brilliant goal against Argentina during France’s run to World Cup glory

Bayern Munich have today announced that FIFA World Cup victor Benjamin Pavard will join the club from Stuttgart on 1 July 2019.

Salihamidzic has now confirmed that terms have been agreed for a switch come the end of the season, with Pavard to sign a deal that will keep him at Bayern until 2024.

Capable of playing at right-back or in central defence, Pavard began his career at Lille and helped France win the 2018 World Cup.

The defender will join Bayern on a five-year deal after they activated his €35m (£31m) release clause.

His strike in the knockout game against Argentina was named the goal of the tournament.

Arsenal linked with Juventus defender as part of Ramsey deal
Juventus have confirmed they are interested in signing Aaron Ramsey this summer. "We will only sign players who give us quality". It's going to be unusual to see Aaron Ramsey out of an Arsenal shirt and it looks as if Juventus will be his next destination.

They are second in the Bundesliga, six points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund, and face Liverpool in the last 16 of the Champions League.

"He signed a five-year contract".

Bayern resume the Bundesliga season with an away trip to Hoffenheim on January 18, while Pavard's current side Stuttgart, who are 16th in the table, host Mainz on January 19 as they aim to move further away from the relegation spots.

The club have also been linked with Atletico defender Lucas Hernandez and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.
