Eagles actually blocked Cody Parkey's double-boink kick

Eagles beat Bears 16-15

Shortly after the Eagles' shocking win against the Bears on Sunday night, Eagles defensive end Chris Long went to the Bears' sideline and found his brother, Kyle Long.

The Chicago Bears were trailing quarterback Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles by one point with 10 seconds left in their NFC Wild Card game. He launched his first try, successfully splitting the uprights, but the Eagles called a timeout, negating the game-winning kick.

Parkey was mercilessly booed off the field after the kick double-boinked off the uprights.

Parkey said he didn't know what went wrong on the kick, other than he missed. It meant the Bears missed out by the slimmest of margins as the Eagles scraped through.

But a new video proves that the missed kick may not have been all Parkey's fault.

Tottenham manager Pochettino: I'd be sacked if I prioritised FA Cup
It was quite the performance from a Tottenham side showing eight changes from the midweek win at Cardiff . "Speaking after his side's 7-0 win over Tranmere in the FA Cup , Pochettino said: "[It will be] hard .

What a finish to a insane game.

Following the loss, Parkey seemed perplexed about the miss, and that's because he thought he hit the ball well.

"It's one of the worst feelings in the world to let your team down", Parkey said. "I a hundred percent take that loss on me, and it is what it is, but the sun's going to shine tomorrow, life's going to go on, and unfortunately it's going to sting for a while".

The season is now over for the Bears, but the defending champion Eagles, who scraped into the playoffs just a week ago, march on as they bid to retain their title.
