Netflix is taking fans back to the '80s in the first trailer for new Netflix film Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.

Netflix has released a new episode in Charlie Brooker's dark, techno-paranoia TV series Black Mirror, but this time it's interactive, and you can play it on PC.

That said, watch the full Bandersnatch trailer below!

Netflix is calling Bandersnatch its first "interactive film", which seems like an aptly subversive way to further twist the literal meaning of the word film.

QUIZ: Name every team to lead the Premier League at Christmas
And not because our grandfathers did it or didn't do it, that has no influence. "That is what we have to do against Newcastle". In an interview given to BBC , He said, "I think Liverpool have now turned a corner, they've become attractive".

The "Black Mirror" series has featured several stories set in the world of video games: the most recent being "USS Callister", which tells the tale of a programmer who becomes obsessed with an online game that he has co-written. Once you've made your selection (or once the device has for you), the movie continues without any black screen or pause to load, which reinforces the idea that you're actually directing the story instead of simply playing a game. However, as Stefan's choices (and that of the viewer/player) grow ever more complicated and unsafe, his understanding of the world becomes increasingly unhinged. With "Black Mirror", the technology gets a showy poster child, presenting what's described as an "immersive entertainment experience ... where you control the story".

There have been reported doing the round that the Bandersnatch movie will be five-hour long. This time you'll find your rabbit under the bed, and if you choose to go with your Mum, you take the same train as her and die with her on it. Later, Whitehead's character says of the fictional author of "Bandersnatch", "Jerome F. Davies is a genius". In 2016, when Brooker and his team were developing the Season 4 episode "Playtest", Netflix's team suggested adding an interactive element to the episode. For instance, our ability to empathize with the characters we see in media is tested in ways both large and small - whether you decide to make Stefan yell at his dad, or engage in a bloody, over-the-top brawl with his therapist (Alice Lowe).

It's exciting knowing that people are discussing this episode not just in their reactions to specific moments, but in individual decisions and how they felt making them.

And while the streaming service was seemingly holding its cards close to its chest, Netflix finally confirmed the rumors today.
