Sidhu will win if he contests election in Pakistan: Imran Khan

Indian Sikh devotees offers prayers as they look towards the Kartarpur temple which is situated in Pakistan from the Indian side on the outskirts of Amritsar

The two ministers came back on Wednesday evening after attending the groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur corridor in Pakistan earlier in the day.

In his tweet, the Spokesperson of the Foreign Office Dr Muhammad Faisal said, "The world comes together for the #PakistanKartarpurSpirit - diplomats attending the groundbreaking ceremony".

Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu recited a poem at the gathering calling for peace between the two countries and heaped praise on his "friend" Imran Khan for making a dream come true for the Sikh community.

Sidhu crossed the worldwide border at Wagah and was received by Pakistani authorities.

In a sharp contrast, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, who jointly inaugurated the Kartarpur Corridor with Naidu, raised the issue of terrorism - allegedly sponsored by Pakistan - and warned Islamabad to "rein in" its army, adding that the Indian army was "fully prepared".

Swaraj, who is campaigning here ahead of the Telangana elections on December 7, said, "The moment Pakistan stops terrorist activities in India, dialogue can start but the dialogue is not connected with only the Kartarpur corridor".

Jazz seek to defend better versus Lakers
I can see it, but sometimes for you personally, you have to continue to figure it out. That felt just like the OT win against Charlotte.

Khan on November 28 laid the foundation stone for a corridor linking Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur - the final resting place of Sikh faith's founder Guru Nanak Dev - to Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district, India to facilitate visa-free movement of Indian Sikh pilgrims. India's foreign ministry said that Khan's "unwarranted reference to Jammu and Kashmir" on the occasion was deeply regrettable. "Past teaches us that we need to keep moving forward", Khan said.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony for the corridor to Kartarpur Sahib, Khan raised the Kashmir issue saying that "two capable leaderships" to resolve it. "If Germany and France can bury the past, then why can't we do the same", he added. We don't have the strength and determination to say that whatever happens, we will fix this relationship, he said.

Senior Indian journalist Jyoti Malhotra on Wednesday lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan's message for peace and slammed the Modi government's "irresponsible" response to the opening of Kartarpur border corridor, ARY News reported.

Imran Khan said that there have been "mistakes on both sides" and asserted that the two sides should not live in the past. "After all what's the impediment in holding talks, nobody is doing it on gunpoint", she said.

Sidhu said that if the borders between both countries opened, it would be possible to transport goods to different parts of Pakistan and even others countries. He said Kashmir issue can be solved if leadership on both sides of the border are strong. The premier said he hoped we don't have to wait till Sidhu is chief minister to have better relations with India.

An emotional Kaur said the corridor will bring joy and peace to both countries. After biometric scanning, they will be free to roam the gurdwara.
